About us
NOVINSKI is a film production company founded in 2005 by producer and music composer Michal Novinski, based in Bratislava, Slovakia. NOVINSKI production has long been focused on production of music and, in recent years, also movies. We produce animated, documentary and feature films for cinema and TV.
In the present NOVINSKI is producing the puppet stop-motion full-length film for children Living Large (dir. Kristina Dufkova) in co-production with Czech rep, France and Belgium and short animated film Tourists, directed by Mária Kralovič. We currently develop a feature film drama and a children TV series.
In 2014, NOVINSKI became the Slovak co-producer of the family feature film Three brothers, directed by Jan Svěrák and awarded 3 Czech Lions in 2014 and the movie soundtrack became the best-selling CD in the Czech Republic in 2014/2015.
In 2017, producer of NOVINSKI became one of the three main producers of a movie by Jan Svěrák, Barefoot On Stalks that turned 13 Czech Lion nominations into 5 awards that year.
In 2017, NOVINSKI produced and created a documentary on the making of the movie ‘Barefoot On Stalks’ named Jan Svěrák Lekcia filmu (‘Jan Svěrák A Movie Lesson’, dir. Juraj Krasnohorský).
In 2019 we brought to the movie theaters a short, animated movie directed by Daniela Krajčová, PERSONA GRATA.

Michal Novinski

Michal Novinski is a Slovak music composer, winner of three CZECH LIONS, recognized for his notable achievements in film and theatre. He was awarded Czech Film and Television Academy Award - CZECH LION (Český lev) for KOOKY (Kuky se vrací, 2010), directed by the Oscar-winning director Jan Svěrák, for the critically acclaimed film IN THE SHADOW (Ve stínu, 2012) by David Ondricek, co-written with his long time collaborator Jan P. Muchow, and for WATCHMAKER’S APPRENTICE (Hodinárov učeň, 2019) by Jitka Rudolfová, co-written with Ivan Acher. He also won Slovak Film and Television Academy Award (Slnko v Sieti) for the Best Original Score for Jiri Chlumsky’s film BROKEN PROMISE (Nedodrzaný slub, 2009), IN THE SHADOW (Ve stínu, 2012) by David Ondricek and THE TEACHER (Učiteľka, 2016), directed by Jan Hřebejk. He is a member of the European Film Academy (EFA), Czech Film and Television Academy (CFTA) and Slovak Film and Television Academy (SFTA).ě

Agata Jeleneková

Agata Jeleneková is a film producer based in Bratislava, Slovakia. She studied film production at VŠMU (the Academy of Performing Arts) in Bratislava. After graduation, she worked as a production assistant, directing assistance in terms of production of major TV shows and programmes. For a few years, she was in charge of sales of advertising space in commercial televisions in the position of a sales manager. Since 2014, she has been active in movie and TV production. Since 2018 she has been working for NOVINSKI as a producer and an executive producer of TV and movie projects. Since the end of 2019, she has held the position of the Executive Director of the Slovak Film and Television Academy.

Jana Brezinová

Jana Brezinová is a production manager at NOVINSKI since 2010. Graduated in film production at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Jana has worked as unit production manager, location manager, and line producer in the commercial and movie industry during and after her studies. Eventally, at NOVINSKI she found a job that allows her to pursue her dream of staying in close touch with the music. Jana is the right hand of composer Michal Novinski when it comes to production of his musical compositions.
