Marta is a romantic. She has a common room with her sister Kasia and her grandmother, who instead of telling fairytales to her granddaughters she tells them uprising stories. Behind the wall live the parents, Tadek and Elżbieta. He is constantly degraded by the system, an intelligent man, who chases the moonlight after work and quietly envies his brother-in-law. She is the president of society Solidarita with the need for freedom and the dream of finally leaving Poland. However, the real emotions for the whole family begins when the dream orange car is parked under the block. Ela and Tadek discover a sense of business and travel abroad. Growing up Marta really falls in love for the first time in her life.
